Jet Aviation Appoints New Boss at Jet Aviation Moscow

Jet Aviation, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, has appointed Vitaly Aleksikov as the general director of Jet Aviation Moscow Vnukovo. In this role he is responsible for overseeing the operations at the facility, which includes aircraft maintenance, AOG (aircraft on ground) response, supply-chain management and quality control.

“Aleksikov has considerable experience as well as critical knowledge of the Russian market and operating conditions,” said Stefan Benz, Jet Aviation’s vice president of MRO and FBO operations for EMEA and Asia. “His expertise and service-driven focus brings significant value to our customers in the region.”

After joining Jet Aviation in 2009 as quality assurance manager, Aleksikov was appointed director of engineering in 2012. In his new role he also serves as the company’s interface with aviation authorities and the local community.

Before joining Jet Aviation, Aleksikov held senior engineering positions with ITEK AIR, JSC, CJSC and Atlant-Soyuz Air Company and was an aircraft maintenance engineer with Kyrgyzstan Airlines. He is a graduate of the Aviation University in Riga, Latvia, where he specialized in aircraft maintenance and engines.
